Hello and thank you for visiting my blog!View More: http://janelleelisephotography.pass.us/kimmy-jesse

I’m sure your first question is, why the name Always Alacritas?

In Latin, the definition of ‘alacritas’ has roots to words such as: eagerness, joy, persistence, growth, and triumph.

Every day, I deliberately make a choice to live out my life by these words.

In light of my personal trials and daily battles, I strive to intentionally make each day brighter and meaningful, filled with hope and purpose. Or, as some people may call it, I try to look for the silver lining.

I believe that simple reflections of basic life experiences can truly make a difference in the manner of how I carry out each day.

Living overseas as a wife, worship leader, and friend to the oppressed, my prayer every morning is for God to open my eyes to see what He sees.

In more recent years, I’ve found that the Lord often reveals Himself to me through the toughest of times. Although I may not fully understand why things have to happen, seeing the Father more clearly through it all merely serves as an encouraging nudge to persevere and continue to live in His abundant Joy.

This relationship is the foundation to my eagerness, the motor of how I choose to see people and how I choose to respond when various circumstances come my way: always alacritas…

My hope for this blog is that is serves to be an honest reflection of a Spirit-filled flesh seeking to fight for Truth in a broken world.

May you find comfort that you aren’t alone. Yet be encouraged, for it is an ongoing process, an assignment that starts afresh every morning- that we may know Him more.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as for the Lord and not for men.”  -Colossians 3:23
